Wooden cottage on the hill
In the heart of the Štiavnica Mountains stands a house that perfectly balances past and present. This project was exceptional for us. The reconstruction of the original cottage required a sensitive approach that respects the historical character of the building while reflecting the needs of modern living.
The task was clear. To preserve the soul of the place, yet bring functionality, comfort, and long-term technical reliability. Every opening, every finish, and every detail told its own story. When installing MINTAL wood-aluminum windows, we therefore emphasized precision, craftsmanship, and harmony with the original architecture. The older masonry required technical certainty, which we achieved with the strength of the frames and precise alignment of the joints.
Wood-aluminium demonstrated its strength and delicacy here. From the outside, the elegant aluminium finish in a mint shade is striking. In contrast with the dark patinated wood, it looks fresh, yet natural and respectful of the surrounding landscape. The red entrance doors are a distinctive accent, adding individuality and a subtle dose of uniqueness to the building. The result is a harmonious blend of tradition, technical precision and design that naturally fits into the mountain environment.
This cottage has been brought back to life as a place with a soul. It has become an example of how a modern solution in the form of MINTAL wood-aluminium windows can enhance the value and beauty of original architecture without disturbing it.
