The primary mission of Mintal s.r.o. is the production, installation, and servicing of building openings based on wood and wood-aluminium systems. In order to successfully fulfill this mission, it is essential to ensure adequate protection of data as well as all means of data processing, thereby minimizing potential data breaches in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, as well as in accordance with Act No. 18/2018 Coll. of the Slovak Republic on the Protection of Personal Data and on amendments to certain acts, together with international standards and norms. It is important to us that you are fully informed about the personal data we collect when providing our services and that you are aware of how we use them.
In connection with the processing of your personal data by MINTAL s.r.o., acting as an independent data controller, we have prepared the following information for you as the data subject (hereinafter referred to as the “data subject”) in accordance with Article 13 of the GDPR.
Processing of personal data
Provision of services
We process the personal data of customers and suppliers, or their employees, to the extent necessary for the purpose of concluding commercial contracts. For these purposes, data subjects are required to provide the data within the requested scope, as without such data we cannot provide our services. These data are processed in order to ensure the performance of the contract and related activities. In addition, after completion of the project, the company documents the delivered work and product by taking photographs, which are used for the purpose of handling possible complaints. Photographs of the completed work may also be used for publication in the Gallery on its website.
Visit to our website
We record and store the IP address of your computer in order to send the content of our visited web pages to your computer (e.g. texts, images and downloadable files, etc.) in accordance with Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. We also process these data in order to identify and report any misuse. The legal basis in this case is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. In this context, our interest with regard to the processing of personal data is to ensure the proper functioning of our website and the business conducted through our website. Where we process your data, as stated above, for the purpose of ensuring the functionality of our website, you are contractually obliged to provide us with such data.
Visit to our company
MINTAL s.r.o. carries out video surveillance of its internal operating premises through a camera system for the purpose of increasing security and protecting property, with the aim of preventing crime and other antisocial activities in the area of property crime, committed mainly by burglary, as well as theft and damage to the property of the controller. In matters of suspicion or proceedings concerning misdemeanours and criminal offences, recordings from the camera system are provided to the Police Force or to authorities active in criminal, administrative and misdemeanour proceedings and legal matters for the purposes of clarification, investigation, verification or оперативе inquiry in the matter to which such recording relates.
Other purposes
We also process personal data that you voluntarily provide, for example when submitting an inquiry, arranging an online meeting, or ordering informational materials or newsletters. The legal basis in this case is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. The data we process in this connection include data of customers and suppliers and their employees to the extent necessary for the purposes specified within this privacy statement. Where we process your data, as described above, for the purpose of receiving and processing your inquiry, meeting request or order (newsletter subscription), you are obliged to provide these data. Without these data, we cannot process your request. If you have consented to the processing of personal data in accordance with Article 6(1)(a) GDPR, you may withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawal of consent shall not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.
Providing data to third parties
As a rule, we do not transfer your data to another company. We will not sell your data to third parties or otherwise provide them for commercial purposes.
We are entitled to provide your personal data to law enforcement authorities and, where applicable, injured third parties without your explicit consent if this is necessary to clarify unlawful use of our services or to enforce legal claims. However, such transfer shall only take place if there is concrete evidence of unlawful conduct or misuse. The transfer of your data may also take place if it contributes to the enforcement of terms of use or other agreements. At the same time, we are under a legal obligation to provide information upon request to certain public authorities.
The transfer of these data is based on our legitimate interest in preventing misuse, enabling the prosecution of criminal offences and ensuring the enforcement of our rights, where our interests override your interests and rights in the protection of your personal data in accordance with Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Intended transfer of data to third countries
At present, no transfer of data to third countries is planned. In the event of such a transfer, we will implement the measures necessary to comply with the required legal conditions. Above all, however, you will be informed in due time about the relevant recipients or categories of recipients of personal data in accordance with legal requirements.
Security
MINTAL s.r.o. implements appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect all personal data against accidental or intentional manipulation, loss, destruction or access by unauthorized persons. This also applies to all purchased external services. We verify the effectiveness of our data protection measures and continuously improve them in line with technological developments. The personal data entered are encrypted during transmission using a secure encryption process.

Google AdWords and Google Conversion Tracking
This website uses Google AdWords. AdWords is a web analytics tool provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”).
As part of Google AdWords, we use the so called Conversion Tracking service. When you click on one of the tools displayed by Google, a cookie for Conversion Tracking will be set. Cookies are small text files that an internet browser stores on the user’s computer. These cookies expire after 30 days and are not used for personal identification of the user. The buttons display the logos of the individual social networks. However, the buttons are not standard plugins provided by social networks, but links with button icons. By clicking the buttons, you accept communication with the servers of the social network, thereby activating the buttons and creating the link.
After clicking, the button functions as a sharing plugin. The social network receives information about the visited website, which you can share with your friends and contacts. If you are not logged in, you will be redirected to the login page of the social network you clicked on, thereby leaving the mintal.sk website. If you are logged in, your “like” or sharing of the relevant article will be transmitted.
When you activate the button, social networks also receive information about which page of our website you accessed and when you did so. Standard data deletion periods
Legislation has defined retention periods and data storage obligations. At the end of these periods, the relevant data will be regularly deleted. Data not subject to the above retention periods and obligations will be deleted or anonymized as soon as the purposes defined in this privacy statement no longer apply. Unless this privacy statement contains other specific provisions for data storage, we retain all data we collect for as long as required for the above purposes for which they were collected.
Further use of data and their deletion
Any further processing or use of your personal data will generally only be carried out to the extent permitted by law or if you have consented to the data processing or use. In the event of further processing for purposes other than those for which the data were originally collected, we will inform you of such further use and provide you with all relevant information prior to the further processing.
Identification and prosecution of misuse
We will retain all information necessary for the identification and prosecution of misuse, in particular your IP address, for a maximum of 7 days. The legal basis in this case is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our interest in retaining your data for 7 days is to ensure the operation of our website and the business carried out through this website, and to prevent cyber attacks. Where necessary, we may use anonymous information to adapt the design of our website to the needs of users.
Rights related to the processing of personal data
Right of access
Upon request, you have the right to obtain from us information about the personal data concerning you that we have processed, to the extent defined in Article 15 GDPR. You may send your request by post or email to the addresses listed below.
